    Apache/Microsoft-IIS conflict

    Sometimes, you may find that after installing Apache, its not running.
    Now the reason may be the conflict with Microsoft-IIS ( Internet
    Information Services ).
    The problem is that both IIS and Apache has default port 80. Now, if u
    installed Apache using Wamp server, then click on the wamp server icon
    on the bottom right, select 'Apache', select 'Service' and then click on
    'test port'.

    If IIS is running, you will be seeing Microsoft-IIS on the newly opened


    'cmd' window. To disable IIS, go to Control Panel, click on ' Turn Windows
    features On/Off'. There you can see 'Internet Information Services',
    deselect it and your computer will be asked to restart by the OS.

    Now on restarting, run the wamp server, and on testing the port 80
    again, you will see 'Apache' is running.
