 You can also search for layers by keyword, featured, most popular
and then save them to your favorites. Simply tap the layer you
want and its relevant data becomes a part of your screen.
 The data continues to update in real-time and better yet, you are
not stuck with just one layer at a time, you can have layer upon
layer on your screen.
 By tapping the settings button, you can choose your layers range;
for instance you can see all the ATMs within a 5 mile radius or just
within walking distance.
 The circles on the screen contain the material data from all the
layers you’ve selected. The radar in the corner screen highlights all
the points of interest within your range. The closer the circle is to
the center of the screen the closer it is to you.
 When you tap the circle meaningful
information from the web appears, such as
photos if available.
 Layar even works with social networks
such as Facebook and Twitter. Friends who
are in your vicinity can show up on your
screen as nearby contacts.
 If you don’t feel comfortable using your
camera view, Layar offers two other
options; Map View where your layers appear on top of a map, or List View which is more like a
traditional mobile web page.
