Proyecto: Escribir un folleto

(adapted from textbook activity)

Antes de escribir:

A. You are going to choose one of the following topics to use while creating a
pamphlet.
Read the three choices and decide which one you will choose.

1. You are the director of a summer camp. Create a pamphlet that

tells us about the activities you offer at your summer camp.

2. You are a tour guide in Chicago (or in another city or country).

Create a pamphlet that tells about the activities you can do during
the year in Chicago.

3. You are the principal of our school. Create a pamphlet that tells
new students about the classes and activities you can take here.

B. My choice is ____________________________.
Vocabulary:
•Once you have chosen your topic, reread it and think about the vocabulary you will
need to write about this topic. Use the chart below to jot down all the words in
Spanish that you can think of that are related to the topic.
•Then, review the end vocabulary lists in your textbook for lessons 1-4 (passed out in
class). Add any words from those lists that you think might be useful. Finally, look at
the words you have written down.
•Are there any key words you can think of in English that you would like to use in
Spanish? Create a list of key words you need to look up in a dictionary.

Escribir:
•Write your pamphlet. As you write, refer to the vocabulary chart you created. Since
you are writing a pamphlet, make sure you create one major title for the front.
• Then create sections within your text and give them subtitles, such as Monday ,
Tuesday, Sports for Boys, Sports for Girls, Location, Costs, etc.
• If you want to add a drawing or a downloaded photo or other graphic, feel free to
do so, but make sure it illustrates something in the text nearby.
