C:introduction , i’m reporter the march against the GMO’s products that enterprises

like LIVE S.A. …..

C: I’m going to interview the chief of them… Good morning Mr. Rodriguez. Whose are
you?

F: good morning reporter…We’re from ONG IZATE that was created in Latin America by
some activist people from this continent whose fight for human rights and carry on this
Latin America’s costumes. So, we are against GMO’s

C: Now, we know whose are you but, what are your reasons to protest?

F: first of all, important critics in our country say GMOs may cause health problems for the
next generations.

C: you may be right in part, but there are advantages as they will decrease the food prices
due to lower costs and higher yield. As people in poor countries spend over half of their
income on food alone, lower food prices mean an automatic reduction of poverty.

F: I’m not sure about that.. the principal countries that obtain most of the benefit from
GMO's products might cause a geopolitical problem.

C: that seems a little bit extreme. Creation of “super foods” due to better knowledge. Super
foods are types of food that are cheap to produce, grow fast in large quantities, highly
nutritious

F: I hate to disagree with you, but this might cause oligopolies in the market, so big corporate
could be the owners of the food prices.

C:Also, Scientific development of agriculture, health and related sciences due to the better
understanding of the products. For example, the development of new medicines.

F: Oh come on! New medicines? The are the best natural medicine in own countries’
culture. In the other hand Allergies may become more intense, and also, new allergy types
may develop.

C: you may be right in part, well thanks for your time, our time is over.

F: no problem.

C: this is Cesar Cajas from BDP news, tomorrow we give you more information.
