• Warner Bros is a major producer of movies. It is one of the original
Hollywood movie studios and it has a number of major movie franchises
most notably in recent years the Harry Potter films. Warners also run theme
parks related to their movies.

• Lego is a toy producer originally from Denmark whose building block prodct
has become internationally known. They have tie ins with many major movie
franchises including Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars and Harry Potter
lending their brand name to the video games produced to accompany the
movies. They also continue to make physical toys which relate to the films.

• Facebook is a the largest and most widely used social networking site with
over a billion users worldwide, it is valued at some $50 Billion. It is used by
both private individuals and companies who publish details of their activities
in real time making them available for others in their networks. It has also
been cited as having been used widely by private individuals involved in the
Arab Spring uprisings.

• The Social Network is a successful movie which garnered a number of

awards at both the Oscars and BAFTAs this year. It charts the early years in
the life of the company Facebook.
