    MMSFSF Mdecins Sans Frontires was created in 1971 by a small group of French doctors and journalists in the aftermath of the Biafra secession, who believed that all people have the right to medical care regardless of race, religion, creed or political affiliation, and that the needs of these people outweigh respect for national borders.

    MMSFSF Doctors without Borders is an international nongovernmental, non-profit organization that offers medical and humanitarian aid leads to emergency situations in cases such as armed conflicts, natural disasters, epidemics, hunger and social exclusion. It is the largest non-governmental humanitarian aid in the world in health.

    In 1999 received the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of their fight in favor of humanitarian intervention. Today, more than 22,000 professionals working with MSF in over 70 countries, mainly in the Third World, as well as those in a state of war. MSF often protested to the United Nations against atrocities committed against communities without official representation, the peoples of Chechnya and Kosovo.
