Standards: SPI 0301.8.2 Identify setting, characters, and plot in a reading selection.
SPI 0301.8.4 Recognize basic plot features of fairy tales, folk tales, fables, and myths.

Procedures:
1. The teacher will review the components of fairy tale and/or fable. 2. The student will select key terms or phrases to search for fairy tales and fables. 3. The student will fill out template with the correct setting, characters, plot, and lesson. 4. The student will explain and defend why the lesson is important or not.

Assessment:
The teacher may assess through observation for accuracy. Extension: Students may create their own fable with a lesson.
