Account Opening Process


Account Opening Charges: Trade Xpress: Rs. 750/Trade Xpro : Rs. 1250/Forms Should be completely filled alongwith necessary documents mentioned in the document checklist (Pg No 4-5) in the account opening form. Document checklist (Pg No. 4-5) to be signed by ME compulsorily. Notarized POA should be along with the form. Account Opening Turnover Time is 4-5 days after the form is received at HO. Account Opening Kit comprises of CD, Welcome Letter & Manual which will be sent from HO to the client. Once the account has been shifted from offline to online, it will not be shifted back to OFFLINE.

Account opening Form consist of : Account opening Form for BSE, NSE, with Normal and Supplementary ITORS agreements.

Depository Account Opening Form CDSL along with DP Agreement and Tariff Structure.

Franked POA (Notarization of POA would be done at regional level.) Region to deliver the filled form to the region for Notarization and submitting the same to HO after Notarization. Necessary Declarations

Forms have to be completed in all respect and to be signed wherever marked X or wherever client will put information manually and every page of the member client agreements. Every correction in the form should be accompanied with client signature. The above documents should be self attested. Initial Margin cheque to be collected from the client is minimum Rs. 10000 and in favour of Anandrathi Securities Ltd in case of ex and Rs 5000 in case of web client.

The above documents along with the perfectly filled up Form should notarized from the respective region . Once the form is notarized the same should be dispatched along with the CIS to HO. BSE Webex to be uploaded for all the clients from the respective regions Upon receiving the complete documents the account would be opened within 4 working days. The Login id and password would be mailed to the clients on their respective e-mail address and confirmation mail would be sent to the region. For the web client , the login id and password would be sent through alerts and for software client it would be sent through system generated.

FOR EXISTING CLIENTS: An existing client is the client who is already trading with us in offline mode. Initial margin amount needs to be collected from the client with the CRF before executing the first trade. Initial margin to be collected in case of Web trading platform is Rs.5, 000while in case of Software platform, the margin amount to be collected is Rs.1, 00,000. Client should have CDSL DP ID. If the client has not submitted the POA, then the client needs to submit the New POA. There are No Account opening charges for Existing client. If any changes in Bank Address, then client need to fill up the Account Modification Form. All the documents submitted by the client should be properly verified, the person verifying the documents should affix the stamp of verified with original along with the signature. The agreement with the client should not be more than six months old.

Every correction in the form should be accompanied with client signature. Branches are supposed to ensure that their clients get morning reports on a regular basis. Branches to ensure that clients are given proper demonstration for the online trading platform at the time of account opening. Branches are required to generate the Unique Client Code (UCC) for the client introduced by them at the time of account opening. UCC should be generated as per the prevailing standard of alpha numeric characters. Branches should also ensure that the UCC so generated is mentioned correctly in the CIS sent to the Head Office.

A BREIF ABOUT THE ACCOUNT OPENING PROCESS : All the branches are supposed to generate the UCC only for the clients introduced by them and then send the account opening forms to the Head Office. UCC for the clients introduced from the Head Office will be generated by the Head Office only. After the forms sent from the branches have been received at the Head Office, the forms and the documents enclosed with the account opening forms are verified and then sent for the Franking process. After the Franking process is over, the forms along with the documents are sent for DP opening process. The turnaround time for this process is approximately two days. As there is dual scrutiny done at dp level. The softcopy of the CIS is sent to the eback office team for back office mapping . The turnaround time for this process is approximately one day.(there is possibility of the bank details mismatch on the same). Client details should be uploaded in BSE webex. In cases of non receipt of the id , kindly contact crccompliance@rathi.com.

The TAT for getting the NSE and NSE FNO rights is 1 day . The intial margin cheque details should be mapped in the back office and details of the date of mapping should be mailed to vinodasari@rathi.com. Once the account is opened, an e-mail is sent to the client and branches regarding clients password and login ID.

NOTE: If the forms have been received in evening, on any working day, it would be sent for processing on the next day. If the forms are received in morning on any working day, it would be sent for processing the same day. The total turnaround time for the whole process of account opening is 4-5 days on the receipt of the form in HO.

Back office Auction details-

In case of buying auction i.e shortage of shares from the exchange, the client will gets the shares or the payout along with the 20 % penalty being charged to the sellers . Auction close out turnaround time would be Trading plus 5 days maximum. In case of sell auction, the amount from the customers end is debited plus the 20 % of the penalty amount. In case the reason is non POA account i.e internal reason the , details an be checked in the below mention screen. path : Management report - mis - new report delivery- demat report- client search.

Incase of the shortage from the exchange , the details can be viewed from the below mention screen. The close out would be held within T plus 5 days. Path: Management Report mis-new report delivery- shortage report client payin . Settlement type would be N in case of NSE, BSE C or D.

Beneficiary account (pool account) for NSE- 107913 and for BSE 1197600. In case of BTST the risk involved in auction had to bared by the client. Incase of the BTST the shares can be viewed in NEST-Holding BTST Holdings. Please note that incase of BTST, the customer would be able to view the shares however the same are lying in our pool or BO account. To check the holding in the Beneficiary account below is the screen. The holding is always taken DP holding plus BO holding . To check the ledger of all the segments. All the branches need to check the auction details or the paying of customer from the back office. Incase of the Auction bill, close out details branches need to check the details of the customer from the below mention screen. Path finance accounting- finance report- combined ledger . PAY-IN AND PAY-OUT PROCESS :


All payments to the client or from the client are referred to as the Payin and Pay-out process. Anandrathi Securities Ltd. Provides the facility for online pay-in and pay-out of funds as and when any debit or credit arises from the transactions entered into by the client. When a client transfers funds online, the same will get credited in the clients account with us the same day. But in case the client is transferring funds through cheques, then the amount will get credited in the clients account with us the day when the cheques gets cleared. If in case the client has paid in the cheques, and it has not been uploaded in the system, then also the client will get the margin amount credited to his trading account the same day the cheque has been cleared

Clients are advised to pay-in their cheques or to give a request for any cheque to be delivered to them, on any working day between 10am to 3:30 pm to get quick margins for trading. In case of cheque pay-in, the margin will be credited to clients account as soon as the cheque gets cleared. When a client requests for a cheque pay-out, the cheque will reach the client in maximum four days from the date of request. Online Fund Transfer facility can be utilized for immediate Limits. The customer would get the limits as soon as the fund is transferred online from their UTI/ICICI/HDFC bank accounts in Anand Rathi Ltd pool account and back office entry of the funds. NOTE: All branches are requested to guide their respective clients about the pay-in and pay-out process of online fund transfer. Login : Go to Internet Explorer and log on to http://www.trade.anandrathi.com . In order to Log in the Trading Platform, use the Login ID and Password sent to you from alerts@rathi.com .

Put in your Login ID and Password in the highlighted place to log on to the Trading platform.

CREATING MARKET WATCH :  The first time user will have to create a Market Watch for him / her.  Click on Trade menu and select Market Watch option. The page will display options like Set MW, Add Scrip, Delete Scrip, etc.  Click on Set MW, a Pop- Up window will open. On the pop up window, click on Create MW option. A window will appear and prompt you to put a name for the Market Watch to be created. Click on the Create button.  Select the Exchange and Series in which you want to trade and click on GO.  The new window will ask you to add scrips in the Market Watch. The list of scrips is provided on the left hand side of the window. Select the scrips you wish to add and click on the ADD option. The scrip is added in the box on right hand side of the page.  Once you have selected scrips, click on Add to Market Watch button in order to add these scrips in your market watch.

Encircled is the Market Watch option under Trade menu.

Encircled are the options to Set Market Watch, Add scrip and Delete scrip.

The Set Market Watch Window will open when you click on Set Market Watch option. This window contains options like Market Watch Name, Create Market Watch, Set Market Watch, Delete Market Watch.

Encircled is the window where you can put a name for the new Market Watch and then click on CREATE button.

Encircled are the options to select the Exchange and the Series / Settlement Type. Select as per your preference in order to add scrips and click on go button.

Select the Exchange and Series from which you want to add scrips in the Market Watch.

Once you have selected these fields, go to the highlighted portion and select a scrip. Then click on Add or Remove button to Add / Remove that scrip from the selection. Finally click on Add to Market Watch button.

Top Encircled part is the place where you can get the Drop Down list OR select the next encircled options if you right click on the Market Watch in order to Add/ Delete a scrip.

Encircled is the INDEX WATCH button. Click on it in order to view the indices window.

Encircled is the REFRESH button. Click on it in order to get updated data on indices.

Encircled is the place where the Drop Down list is available. Select Buy Order from the List. The blue screen below is Buy Order window.

Encircled is the place where Drop Down list is available. Select Sell Order option from the list . The red screen below is Sell Order window.

Margin (shortcut key F11): To view margin, press F11 on your key board.

Net Position (shortcut key F11): In order to view the Net Positions, use shortcut key F11 on your keyboard. You can view net positions for the day by selecting the segment amongst NSE, BSE and NSEFO. Other option is view Intraday or Delivery Position, this option is available next to the exchange option mentioned above. To square off any position select a particular trade and click on Square Off.

Encircled is the place where drop down list is available. Select RMS Rep option from the list. The above highlighted window is RMS Report window.

Encircled is the Research Reports Option under Research option.

This Research page appears when you click on Research Reports. Click on the research field for which you want to see the reports.

Click on Back Office Reports to view trade related information.

Put in your login ID, password here and click on Enter Back Office button.

This is the Back Office page which appears when you click on Enter Back Office.

Click on Management Reports and then click on Offline Reports to view trade related information.

Click on the Exchange for which you want to view the information. Once you click on the exchange, the Reports option appears which contains a list of information available.

Once you click on Reports option, this drop down list appears. Select Brokerage to view the brokerage charged to you for a range of dates / a particular day.

Put the date range for which you want to view the details in the highlighted area and then click on Submit button.

The above window appears with the brokerage details when you click on Submit button.

This is the Ledger page that appears when you click on Exchangewise Ledger. Put in your client code in the highlighted area and then click on OK.

Click on the encircled area to view Exchangewise ledger balances. Click on the balance against an exchange to view the detailed ledger balance in that exchange.

This is the Ledger balance page which displays all your debits and credits for a particular period chosen by you. Click on any of the balances to view the digital Contract Note.

This is the digital Contract Note that appears when you click on any of the ledger balances. Click on Print Report to print the Contract Note.

Encircled is Pay In option under the head Fund Transfer. Click here to transfer your funds online.

Encircled is the place where you can select the Bank Name and the Exchange. Mention the amount in figures in the place given and then click on SUBMIT button.

Encircled is the place where you can put your Customer ID and IPIN / password for internet banking and then click on Login button.

Encircled is the place where you can select your Bank account details & then, click on Continue button.

Encircled are the options to either go Back or to Confirm the details displayed in the window. Click on Confirm button to complete the process.

This window containing the message Transaction Success appears when you click on Confirm button. To close this window, click on Close button.

Encircled is the option where you can select the type of request made by you and specify amount range as well as date range for which you wish to view the status.

Encircled is the CHOOSE button where you can click to choose the date range for which you wish to view the status and then click on GO button.

The new window containing updated status of your requests now appears on the screen.

Log Out:  Once you have performed all the functions and wish to log out of the Trading Platform, click on the Log Off icon at the top right hand corner of the web page.

Encircled is the place where you can click to Log Off from the Trading Platform.

Software Demo

Login Double click on the NEST TRADER icon. By default the login window appears on the screen once the NEST window opens up. Put in your login ID and password to login. Select the segments (NSE, BSE, NFO and NCDEX) in order to view securities of the respective segments and click on Login or press Enter.  Once you click on Login, a message Do you want to update scrips Info in Market Watch group from MRV? appears on the screen if you have logged in for the first time. Click on OK to proceed. Once you click on OK, another message Do you want to get Index Constituents from MRV for INDEX BASKET? appears on the screen. Click on OK to proceed. If you have logged in successfully, a message User Logged in Successfully appears on the screen. Click on OK to login.

Creating Market Watch:


Go to File menu and click on Market Watch Group Settings or use the shortcut key Ctrl. + G to create a market watch. Once you click on the Market Watch Group Settings option, the Group Settings window appears on the screen. Put a name for the new Market Watch and click on ADD New to create the Market Watch. The newly created Market Watch appears on the left hand side of the Group Settings window. In order to add scrips in the new Market Watch, click on the Market Watch name and select the Exchange under Security option. Select the Instrument Name, Symbol, Market Type as NORMAL and click on ADD to add the scrip in the new market watch. Once the scrips have been added in the Market Watch, click on Save Groups. A message Save all groups appears on the screen as a confirmation. Click on OK to save the Market watch settings. You can create as many Market Watches as you wish.

To Place a Buy Order: To place a Buy Order, select the scrip for which you wish place an order and right click on it. Select Buy Order Entry from the drop down list or use the shortcut keys F1 / + on your keyboard or go to Orders and Trades menu and click on Buy Order Entry. Select the Exchange, Order Type and Symbol of the scrip for which you wish to place the order. By default, price in the Buy Order Entry window will be current market price of the scrip. Once all the details have been filled, click on Submit to place the order.

To Place a Sell Order: To place a Sell Order, select the scrip for which you wish place an order and right click on it. Select Sell Order Entry from the drop down menu or use the shortcut keys F2 / - on your keyboard or go to Orders and Trades menu and click on Sell Order Entry. Select the Exchange, Order Type and Symbol of the scrip for which you wish to place the order. By default, price in the Sell Order Entry window will be current market price of the scrip. Once all the details have been filled, click on Submit to place the order.

To View Charts for particular scrip: To view the intraday charts for a particular scrip, right click on the scrip in the Market Watch and click on OHLC charts from the dropdown menu or use the shortcut key Shift + C or go to Market menu and click on OHLC charts from the drop down menu. You can view charts for different scrips from the OHLC Chart window by selecting the scrip from the Select Scrip menu. You can also choose the type of chart you wish to view from the OHCL Chart window by selecting the type of chart pattern from the Type menu.

To Modify Orders Placed: Go to Orders and Trades menu, click on Order Book option from the dropdown list or Use the shortcut key F3 to view Order Book. The Order Book window shows bifurcation of Open Orders and Completed (Traded) Orders. In order to modify an order, select the Order and click on Modify. If the selected order is a Buy order, then the Buy Order window appears on the screen with the order details. Once the Order window opens up, change the Quantity / Price of the order as per your preference and click on Submit to place the modified order. To view the modified order, click on Display. The modified order would now appear in the Order Book. You can also cancel orders form the Order Book window. To cancel a single order, select the order you wish to cancel and click on Cancel. To cancel all orders in the Order Book, click on Cancel All.

To Covert Positions: Go to Orders and Trades menu and click on Trade Book from the drop down list or use the shortcut key F8 to view Traded Orders and Convert Positions. Select the Trade which you wish to convert and click on Position Converter. If the selected order is a Delivery Order, then the position shall be converted to Trading Order and vice a versa. Click on Display to view the Converted Position.

To View Limits Available: Go to Surveillance menu, click on RMS Limits and click on View Limits or use the shortcut keys (Ctrl. + Shift + V). You can view limits available for all segments or for particular Segments, Exchange and Symbol. Click on Refresh to get updated Limits. Click on Settings to set the Appearance, Font etc. as per your preference.

To View Rejected Orders: Go to Surveillance menu, click on RMS Limits and click on Rejected List or use the shortcut keys (Ctrl. + R). Once you click on RMS Settings Violation window appears on the screen. This window shows all the Rejected Orders for the day.

To view Demat Holdings: Go to Surveillance menu, click on Holdings and click on View Holdings / Collateral Values Or use the shortcut keys (Alt. + F9). Once you click on View Holdings / Collateral Values, the View Holdings / Collateral window appears on the screen. Select the Symbol, Scrip Code and Scrip for which you wish to view the holdings. Click on Get Holdings to get updated holdings. You can also view the Collateral available by selecting CL / LT form the dropdown list available under Collateral Type option.

To Lock the Terminal: In case you have to move away from the trading terminal for sometime, you can lock the terminal by the Lock Application facility. In order to lock the Trading Terminal, go to File menu and click on Lock Application or use the shortcut keys Ctrl. + W Once you click on Lock Application, a message Are you sure to Lock Nest Trader? appears on the screen. Click on Yes to lock the terminal. To unlock the terminal, go to File menu and click on Lock Application. The Lock Application window asks your authorization password, put your Login Password and click on OK to unlock the terminal.

To Logout: Once you have performed all the functions and wish to Exit from the application, go to File menu and click on Logout or use the shortcut key F10 / click on Logout icon available above the Market Watch. Once you click on Logout option, a message Do you want to save the Market Group Settings before quitting? appears on the screen. Click on Yes to logout of the Trading Platform. A message Application Exit Successfully, click on OK to Exit the Trading Platform.

Generally, online trading refers to buying and selling securities via the Internet or other electronic means such as wireless access, touch-tone telephones, and other new technologies. Do you offer banking and DP facilities? We are not a bank, and in that sense cannot offer any banking services. But what we have done is tied up with Internet enabled banks like HDFC Bank, to offer you net transfer facility. We do provide DP facilities of Central Depository Securities Limited (CDSL). It is mandatory to open the designated accounts with us, to avoid any delays in pay in and pay out. We have tied up with HDFC Bank,ICICI BANK, UTI to offer you net transfer facility.

If I already have a Demat/Bank account with other Bank or Depository? To avail of the advantage offered by the integration of the brokerage, Bank and the Demat account, all the three accounts will have to be opened with Navratna Capital and Securities Pvt Ltd and Anand Rathi Securities Pvt Ltd.

Do I have to maintain any minimum balance in my Bank Account? Yes, you need to maintain a minimum balance of Rs. 2500/-.

How do I get my user ID and password for the first time? The trading password will be issued only on completion of all registration formalities and a email containing details about your trading id, login id and password will be sent you.

How safe is my user ID and password? The password is generated by the system and sent to you such that not even employees of Anand Rathi Group would know about it. Password will be recorded in system in encrypted format. To ensure complete safety and privacy the user will be forced to change his password the very first time he logs into the trading site.

If Ive forgotten the password, what should I do? You can always contact our customer service executive by Email or you can click on forgot password link provided on the Anandrathi.com home page to request us to reset the password.

What are the other charges? Following is the table showing payment details. ONLINE IPO

Put in your Login ID and Password in the highlighted place to log on to the Trading platform.

To Apply online for IPO Go to Trades menu and click on IPO . The Online IPO page IPO Anywhere will appear on the screen.  Put in your Login ID and Password to login in the IPO online system.  A page containing the terms and conditions of IPO online will appear, click on I Agree button to continue.  Once you click on I Agree button, the online page appears on the screen.  The new page contains options that will allow you to place orders for IPOs, view the current status of orders, transfer funds, view information related to IPOs and allotment details.

Encircled are the Trade and IPO options. Click on IPO to enter into the Online IPO page.

This is the online IPO login page. Put your login ID, password and click on Login button to enter the online IPO page.

Click on I Agree button to proceed to the online IPO application page.

Click on the encircled Open IPOs option to view the list of all open IPOs.

Click on the encircled IPO Order Book to view all the IPO orders placed by you. Select the name of an IPO, status type that you want to view and click on Go. Clicking on To Excel button to save the information in Excel format.

Click on Transfer Funds to pay the subscription amount for an IPO. Encircled is the place where you can select the Bank Name and the Exchange. Mention the amount in figures in the place given and then click on SUBMIT button.

Encircled is the place where you can put your Customer ID and IPIN / password for internet banking and then click on Login button.

Encircled is the place where you can select your Bank account details & then, click on Continue button.

Encircled are the options to either go Back or to Confirm the details displayed in the window. Click on Confirm button to complete the process.

When you click on Confirm button, this window containing the message Transaction Success appears. To close this window, click on Close button.

When you click on Fund Transfer Summary, this page appears with current status of all the fund transfers made by you. Click on Refresh button to view fresh status / summary.

Click on Funds Summary to view the balance funds / margin in your account.

Click on Client Information to view the information related to you. In case there are any discrepancies, please contact us for the same.

Click on Allotment Details to view the allotment status of an IPO during a period of time. Select all the relevant information and then click on Go to get the Allotment details.

Click on IPO Transaction Log To view the status details of An IPO order placed by you Over a period of time. Click on To Excel to save the information in Excel format.

Click on Cut off Time to view the time duration for which an IPO is open for application.

Team 1: This team would act as front office of the Customer Support Cell which would focus only on direct client (Internet) queries. The basic responsibility of this team would be to understand the queries of the clients and provide quick solution. The team would interact with the concerned department and provide solution to the customer. Team 2: This team would act as front office of the Customer Support Cell which would focus only on queries from Business Associates such as Franchisees, Sub brokers and branches. The roles and responsibility of this team would be the same as TEAM 1. Team 3: To begin with, this team would consist of 2-3 people. This team would disseminate information/ circulars from the various divisions to the clients through TEAM 1 and TEAM 2 to direct clients and franchisees/sub brokers respectively.
