y It include less land for farming and grain production y Deforestation y Water Shortages y Scarcity of Food y High demand for food & water

What are the impacts of the population growth over the world? y Fresh water supplies are decreasing. y The loss of biological diversity leads to instability of ecological systems, particularly those that are stressed by climate change. y Resulting in water pollution that leads to intolerable health conditions for many people. y Leading to overuse of land & resultant erosion of hillsides & silting of rivers. y Loss of forest reduces the ability of the ecosystem to combat global warming. y CO2 that would be absorbed by trees instead stays in the atmosphere. y HIV & AIDS makes the body venerable y Increase in malnutrition, disease & death.

3. How the population growth and food & water related? How? y It will lead to poverty in much of the developing world. y Increase in demand of food & water. y Due to the increase in demand, farmers have to use more fertilizers which will affect the soil. y Poor people cannot afford to buy food or water for them, whereas rich people waste the food & water.
