Meet with your team


Choose a team name
choose logo
Choose a team color
Talk about which side of the debate you are defending and make sure
everyone understands the issue.
6. Decide which resources you are going to use(internet, library, newspaper,
statistics, or books)
7. Decide who will say the opening statement. (this is where you introduce your
issue and why you believe in it)
8. Everyone will get a chance to participae in the rebuttal ( this is where you
can ask questions f the other team, prove your point using statistics and
everyday examples- WE DON NOT YELL WHEN WE REBUTTAL- USE A
CLEAR, STRONG VOICE- YELLING WILL RESULT IN LOSING MARKS.
9. Decide who will say the closing statement.
10. Prepare all of your notes by writing them on cue cards- DO NOT THROW
THEM AWAY- YOUR TEACHER NEEDS THEM TO MARK YOUR DEBATE,
(YOU WILL USE THEM TO CREATE A POSTER)
