1 Fundamental Logic Gates At the end of this experiment, students should be able to identify fundamental logic gates and its characters. i. Protoboard (1), ii. TTL IC 74S04, 74S08, 74LS32 and 74LS00 iii. Jumpers and wire clip iv. Power Supply (5 volt dc) v. Digital Trainer

PROCEDURE A) NOT Gate 1. 2.

By using 0 = 0v and 1=+5V dc, connect the circuit as shown in Figure 1.1 Connect the NOT gate input to the switch 1 (S1) and the output to Lp1.
S1 Lp 1

Figure 1.1 3. Set the switch to the values as in the Truth Table 1.1 to obtain the output

B) OR Gate 1. Connect circuit as shown in Figure 1.2.

Figure 1.2 2. Then set switch 1 (S1) and switch 2 (S2) to obtain the output in the Truth Table 1.2.

C) AND Gate 1. Connect circuit as shown in Figure 1.3

Figure 1.3 2. Then set switch 1 (S1) and switch 2 (S2) to the value as shown in the Truth Table 1.3.
