The Prior Relationship Between the DOH and the Pa.

Attorney Generals Office Regarding Steven Brighams Pa. Abortion Facilities During 2010, our organization had extensive correspondence and a meeting in August 2010, with First Deputy Attorney General Bill Ryan, Esq., Annemarie Keyser, Esq. and Linda Williams, Esq. regarding Steven Brighams abortion facilities in Pa. A principal request of our organization was for the Pa. Attorney Generals office to begin an investigation into whether Steven Brigham transfer of his abortion facilities was fraudulent. As a result of this correspondence and meeting, Mr. Ryan indicated that the Pa. Attorney Generals office was open to launching such an investigation if his office received an official request from the DOH. At an April 2010 meeting, Ken Brody, Esq., a counsel to the Pa. DOH, requested our organizations assistance in obtaining the Pa. Attorney Generals office assistance in investigating Steven Brighams transfer of his Pa. abortion facilities to his mother. After our August 2010 meeting with Bill Ryan, Esq. and his assistants, we requested, through Mr. Brody, that the DOH make this official request of the Pa. Attorney Generals office. But, Mr. Brody, on behalf of DOH, declined to make this official request. So, if the DOH will not close Steven Brighams Pa. abortion facilities on its own authority, will the DOH at least make an official request to the Pa. Attorney Generals office for an investigation into the possible fraudulent nature of Steven Brighams transfer of his Pa. abortion facilities to his mother?
