Employability Skills Training A brief note and Appeal Concept : "Job Oriented Industry Focused Counselling and Training"

; is the need of the hour as an academic education has proven insufficient for the fast moving economy and contemporary industry requirements. While the students from cities have an access to various career opportunities and necessary skills training, it becomes imperative to create such an infrastructure for rural students. This brings an opportunity for Social Entrepreneurs. We, Samarth Kokan Career Academy (SKCA), aim at harnessing the potential and skills of Rural Candidates, especially, from Kokan Region through various counselling, training and placements programmes. As an initial promotion, the concept has been introduced to prominent Educationist in Ratnagiri district which received a good response. The state of art infra with adequate IT infra is set up in 1500 sq ft space and is ready for operation at Chiplun, Ratnagiri district. SKCA is professionally managed by engineering graduates with post graduation from JBIMS having 16 plus years of corporate experience. Societal support : An appeal We believe that in any of such Social Endeavours, all parts of the society can support this cause with their strengths. Being a start up, we need an active support from prominent educationist, industry veterans and social organisations wherein they can share their knowledge, network and other resources to facilitate our journey. Typical participation may include
