TRAINING & PROJECT EXPERIENCE:

Project 1: STUDY ON THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS OF DRIFTER BITS A study project at Sai Deepa rock drills, on the manufacturing process of drifter bits. The duration of the project was 1 month. It included the machining, the heat treatment and the testing process that the drifter bit undergoes in detail. Drifter bits are used in mining and rock drilling.

Project 2: DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF BALLISTIC CAP

The project deals with the replacement of metal with Nylon 6,6 in a cap used for short range ballistic missiles. A 3D model is designed using Pro Engineer to suit the plastic material. A Two plate Single impression mold is then designed for the model using Pro Engineer. The polymer flow analysis of the mold is done using Moldflow Plastics Insight. The mold is fabricated and a test run is conducted on a Horizontal plunger type Injection molding machine.
