GUIDELINES FOR RESUME

The students can upload up to 4 different resumes The only personal detail of the student that can occur in the resume is the name and the mail address Fonts allowed: Verdana, Book Antiqua, Times New Roman, Garamond The font should be consistent throughout a resume. However, different fonts can be used across the four resumes. Each resume should be a minimum of 1 page and a maximum of 2 pages long. Resumes should be uploaded in PDF format only The filename should be <reg. no.>.pdf Please use the last page of this document as a base template for your resumes Margins on this document are not binding and can be modified as per your discretion, bearing in mind that the content should be within the printable area Verify A4 printouts for each version before uploading the Final resumes

You may also use headers not listed above on your laterals CVs.

Format for Headers: (Refer to the template provided in the last page of this document) The Header Title should be written on the extreme left, inside a row, shaded grey. Sample rows have been provided which can be used as needed Header Title should be in Caps and all Headers should be of the same size and font Font sizes can be 11,12,13,14. The size of the grey box will automatically adjust to the font size used. No Underline/Italics Do not change the shade of the grey shade within the box

Format for Content: Under a Header, the content can be structured as per the students discretion

The font sizes can be 10,11,12. However, in case you are using Garamond font, you should use only font sizes 11 and 12. Students have to use minimum single line spacing. Bold/Italics/Underlining can be used It is mandatory to use only the bullet as used in this document. Also, the orientation of the bullets in each block should be along a single vertical line You are free to add points in separate blocks of table under a header. A sample table is displayed in the sample template (Positions of Responsibility section) for your reference. Please ensure that the orientation of all the rows is along a single vertical line.

Format for Name: (Refer to the Template provided) Name should be in bold. Font sizes for Name can be 14, 16 or 18 Name should be same as that officially registered with the institute No Underline/Italics

Format for Footer: Follow the same structure as used in this document. Put in your e-mail ID where applicable Font size and type should match the rest of the document The contents should be in the shade of grey (as used in the sample template)

Format for Shading: Shading of headers needs to be the same as in the base template below, it is of Gray 25%

The header shading is to be the darkest in the entire CV.

 Only 3 shades of gray are allowed for shading. Gray -25%, Gray 15% and Gray 10% Format for Clubbing Points using Boxes: This is optional whether a student wants use boxes to club points within a header; the same has been illustrated in the base template below. All the boxes in the CV must be of equal width and should cross the margins of the header. Within a header either all the points must be clubbed under boxes or no point should be clubbed under boxes. i.e., there cannot be 2 points which have a box and 2 more points without it under the same heading. But of two different headers one can have boxes for all the points in it and the other header need not have boxes.

Note: On the resume, the Name (Reg.No.) should be of the largest size, followed by the Header and then the Content. An extra column to the Academic Qualifications part can be added to provide any ranks which a candidate wants to write, but the same is not mandatory.
