    In June 2001, Sheridan and his colleagues set up The Menlo software factory and the Menlo institute. The Menlo institute was set up to teach the principles drawn from Edison's invention factory. In 2002sheridan and his team decided to hire new people using an innovative interviewing technique called extreme interviewing. In 2003 Sheridan became the Forbes cover page story hire yourself.
