GROWTH
1. This is your homework for this week. This is done by group.
2. Define decent work. Define economic growth. Provide sources for definition.
3. Determine at least three (3) problems encountered regarding decent work and economy
in the country and provide TANGIBLE SOLUTIONS in order to help those problems found.
4. I’m sure you have heard about a company in MEZ (Mactan Economic Zone) that had 50%
retrenchment (layoff/firing of workers) due to the effect of pandemic problem. Some companies
declared bankruptcy and some just did not open again. What can you suggest to the government
or to private sectors as a means of help to these retrenched workers? Be specific and realistic.
5. You also heard about companies that declared bankruptcy due to the effects of COVID-19, what
would you do as the government in order to save the economy? Be specific and realistic.

INFRASTRUCTURE
1. This is your homework for this week. This is done by group.
2. Determine the top 5 industries in the Philippines, at least 5 best innovations done by
Filipinos and at least 5 best accomplishments in the Philippine Infrastructure. Provide
photos and brief description if possible.
3. Determine as well the bottom 3 least earning industries in the Philippines and provide
TANGIBLE SOLUTIONS in order to help at least one of those bottom 3 industries listed.

template. Check the video guide here to know how. Leaders, please take charge.
• Filename for the IGS is GCED-SECTION-WEEK4-IGS-TEAMNAME. One (1) IGS for the 3
assignments only.
• After completing all the tasks, do not forget to answer the IE WEEKLY DIGITAL LEARNING
JOURNAL and post as a thread to the same post about IEDLJ to create a thread by
commenting: WEEK4 – FAMILYNAME together with the screenshot as proof.
