Script for Y1-Y2 Meeting Hi Year 2 Advisors, this is what I plan to do with my group during Workshop 5 on Friday.

I think it will take less than an hour. 1) Split groups up and send half to your co-teachers classroom. 2) Have students sit, Y1, Y2, Y1, Y2. 3) Play a name gamethe one where you have to say your name plus every one leading up to you probably will be the quickest. 4) Remind students that they will be seeing each other in college classes. Maybe it would be nice to ask the year 2s to talk about what it felt like to be in a class with Year 2s when they were a Year1. 5) Give out note cards. 6) Ask the Year 1s to write down any questions/ concerns they have about the college application process. 7) Ask the Year 2s to write down one piece of advice they would have liked to know as a Year 1. 8) Have the Year 1s switch cards with the Year2s 9) Share around the circle, questions (anyone can answer them), tips (anyone can add or comment). 10) Students return to their own classroom. 11) Process write for ten minutes. 12) Discuss what questions/ anxieties they feel for this upcoming semester. Make a list on the board of questions/ information they need. 13)Break/ Lunch -Holly Brown
