a novel? Read-Around (1st time) Respond : It represents a way out of the readers limited perspective, or at least an acknowledgement that those limits exist. OK, so you found these things. So what? Read aloud & respond Read this: One hundred thousand novels dont have a message for the reader, so you dont have to listen. Instead, you have to ask questions. FFW: What questions should we ask when we read a novel? Share. Make a network for yourself- connect yourself to the characters you talk to-how can you represent how you talk to them? How can you represent the frequency with which you talk to them? The medium? Time frame? Work on & share- is the person who you would have considered most central really most central? What new questions did you learn to ask? Homework: Formalize your network. What is the key? Include a process piece explaining what insights about your personal network you learned.
