Works Cited Using your citation spreadsheet that you submitted to me, list the works that you

used in your essay in the order in which they appear. For example, if you use the World Book Online as the first citation in your essay, then that will be the #1 resource listed on your works cited page. Your Works Cited page will be a separate page from your essay, and will look something the following examples, depending on what sources you used in your essay. Do not list resources on the works cited page if you did not use them in your article. *********************************************************************** *
A Book Citation Lastname, Firstname. Title of Book. Place of Publication: Publisher, Year of Publication. Example: Gleick, James. Chaos: Making a New Science. New York: Penguin, 1987.

A Page on a Web Site For an individual page on a Web site, list the author or alias if known, followed by the information covered above for entire Web sites. Remember to use n.p. if no publisher name is available and n.d. if no publishing date is given. (use your spreadsheet for the info) Example: "How to Make Vegetarian Chili." eHow.com. eHow, n.d. Web. 24 Feb. 2009.

Citing an Entire Web Site It is necessary to list your date of access because web postings are often updated, and information available on one date may no longer be available later. Be sure to include the complete address for the site. (use the spreadsheet for the info) Remember to use n.p. if no publisher name is available and n.d. if no publishing date is given. Example: The Purdue OWL Family of Sites. The Writing Lab and OWL at Purdue and Purdue U, 2008. Web. 23 Apr. 2008.
