Dear Senator Flanagan:

Thank you for your July I lh letter requesting an update on the status of cngineering
studies evaluating the costs of remediating lead and asbestos in 26 small and medium
sized buildings in the forrner Ki4gs Park Psychiatric center' along witlr cost cstimares of
demobshing each of thc buildings. Please note that OPRHP has not yet detcrmined
which of the buildings will be demolished. The lead and asbestos Xill need to be
remediatcd in each burldrng regardless of whether it is demolishcd or retained for future
adaptive r€use.

OPRHP anticipates receiving the engineering studies within the next two weeks. Please
be assgred that I will provide copies of the final reports to you as soon as they are
available.
