This trip crosses the The Swimming River Reservoir on Phalanx and Muhlenbrink Roads.

You pass horse farms on Rte 537 and Laird Rd. You go through the center of Colts Neck
and pass the Municipal Building on Heritage Lane. There are short hills on Mulberry Lane
and Phalanx Rd but the trip is essentially flat. There is a possible food stop at mile14.7.
If you continue on School Rd for 0.1 there is a 7-11 and a Pizza Restaurant. Water and
bathrooms are available at Dorbrook Park on Rte 537, at the Municipal Center on Heritage
Lane and at the Colts Neck Park on Laird Rd
