News From Kindergarten Room 22

Thank you to all the parents who joined us on the first day of school. It was great getting to meet all of you. Our first topic in our Harcourt reading series is Getting To Know You. I am Michelle Howard. My husband is Doug. My four children are Kelsey, Gibson, Gavin & Lincoln. I will be getting to know you and look forward to this opportunity to work with your child/children. We thank you for the treasures you share with us at Thomas Edison each school day! The Please Read With Me form in your childs folder can be a bit confusing. Please write down almost everything you read to/with your child. Kindergarten homework guidelines for the PHASD are three fifteen- minute sessions per week. For the beginning homework I expect your child to return his/her Please Read With Me form with a total of 30 minutes worth of reading time per week. Please do not throw this form away when it is filled up!. We staple additional pages together as the school year goes on. Thanks to your generosity we have adequate supplies at school. I will let you know when we are running low on certain items. All of the supplies we are not using at this time are labeled and put away. Thursday, September 22th Scholastic book orders are due. _ Gym shoes are needed this week for the PM Physical Education class on Friday. We now have 20 children in the AM class and 20 children in the PM class. As we are still focusing on the theme Getting To Know You. Just for the fun of it, see if your child can tell you who the children are in Room 22. Please write their names down as your child tells you their names. _ Please cut out and return this section by Friday, September 17 l l l l l l l l l
