News from Kindergarten Room 22

I would like to compliment the kindergarteners for being very well behaved during our viewing of the Robin Hood play. Mrs. Pico even came into my room to compliment the PM class on their excellent behavior. Great job Room 22, you make me proud! I hope everyone is working on their Valentines. We will be making our bags this week so bring the cards in as you complete them. I know it is a lot of work but I certainly appreciate you allowing your kindergartner to do all of his/her own writing. Our Valentine party will be Tuesday, February 14th. The PM class has special on Tuesday so our party will begin at 1:15. AM will being at 9:30. The AM class has already sent in plates & napkins and has let me know the treats that will be coming in. PM class please let me know if you are willing to send in a heart healthy treat for our Valentine party! We will celebrate the 100th day of Kindergarten on Friday, February 10th. The PM class has special so the party will begin at 1:15. The AM class will being at 9:00. We will be making GORP. This is an acronym for Grand Old Raisins & Pieces. Each child is will be counting out 10 pieces of food from each of the 10 items. This will allow them to have 100 pieces of snack as well as practice counting by 10s. Please send in your highlighted snack item by Thursday. Thank you to those who have already sent in their items. Dont forget Spirit Week is this week at Thomas Edison. Monday is
Pajama Day, Tuesday is Sports Day, Wednesday is Crazy Hair Day, Thursday is Hat Day, and Friday is College Day.

Please sign and return your childs report card envelope ASAP! Thursday & Friday, February 10th & 11th Student Council Valentine sucker sale $1.00 each Friday, February 10th the 100th day of school. Tuesday, February 14th Room 22 will celebrate Valentines Day. Friday, February 17th and Monday, February 20th No school because of Mid-Winter Break.
