Displacement Reactions

Note: Use ceramic well tiles 1. Place pieces of the metal you are testing in separate wells 2. Add a few drops of each solution to separate wells containing the metal samples 3. Observe for several minutes and record results 4. A reactive metal will displace the ions of a less reactive metal Order of these (least reactive to more reactive) Fe, Mg, Zn, Pb, Cu, Ag

Improving the experiment make sure that the iron is clean
