Since at that time, all high-quality cameras were European, so these young men started their dream of producing a high-quality Japanese camera in a small laboratory in 1933, In 1935, they successfully invented the first Japanese high-quality camera(Japans first-ever 35mm focal-plane shutter camera). In 1955 Canon made its first step into the global market with the opening of a US office in New York City

    Its headquarters are now located in Tokyo, Japan. It employed over 25 thousands (25,683) employees around the world by the end of 2009. And now, Canon specializes in the manufacture of imaging and optical products, including cameras, photocopiers and computer printers, especially for those digital single-lens reflex cameras.
