We had fun in class when we had a visit from firefighters, policemen, and EMTs, practiced drawing circles, learned about principals and construction workers, practiced cutting, created a fall leaf craft, learned about school secretaries, learned what makes and insect an insect, practiced writing Bs, made handprint fall trees, learned about bank tellers and childcare workers, practiced cutting with the funny papers, made spider headbands, read Grasshopper and the Ants fable, compared insects, proclaimed our future occupations, and continued our letter study with Cc and our number study with 1. Song of the week: Collecting Caterpillars (tune of Mary had a Little Lamb) Carol collected caterpillars, caterpillars, caterpillars. Carol collected caterpillars. She counted 21. The caterpillars made cocoons, made cocoons, made cocoons. The caterpillars made cocoons. Theyll be butterflies when theyre done!
