The Sudden Valley Community Association Board of Directors went against a vote of the membership at the 2010 annual general meeting and adopted a motion on Monday, Aug. 22, that says unless the majority of the SVCA membershipnot those who voted, but the entire membership rejects the proposed budget, not only will the budget be adopted, but so will all needed dues to fund it.

PROPOSED AGM MEASURES


EVERYONE can vote on the Budget measures, even if you are not current with your dues. It is your right!! There are 2 BUDGET measures you can vote on, 2 and 2A be sure to vote on both of these.

AGM Measure 1 Density Reduction


Shall the sum of $1,500,000 be transferred from the Density Reduction Fund to the Capital Repair and Replacement Reserve Fund (CRRRF) as the initial deposit to the new capital fund to provide for necessary capital repairs and replacements? YES or NO

Passing Requirement: Approval by a simple majority of all votes cast, 50% + 1.

AGM Measure 2 - Budget


Shall the SVCAs 2012 Annual Consolidated Budget of $4,524,207, including dues income of $939.24 per developed lot and $777.84 per undeveloped lot be approved or rejected? APPROVED or REJECTED Passing Requirement: Ratified if not REJECTED by owners holding a majority of the votes in the Association. If there are 1607 votes of REJECTED, there will NOT be a DUES INCREASE.

If you DO NOT VOTE, your vote will be counted as a vote of APPROVAL/YES.

AGM Measure 2A Swimming Pools Budget


Shall the operations budget proposed in Measure 2 be amended by adding the sum of $12.36 to the annual dues for developed lots and adding the sum of $2.16 to the annual dues for undeveloped lots for the purpose of subsidizing fees for the use of the communitys pools? APPROVED or REJECTED Passing Requirement: Ratified if not rejected by owners holding a majority of the votes in the Association. If there are 1607 votes of REJECTED, there will NOT be a Subsidizing Fee. If this measure is approved, you will pay this subsidizing fee AND you will still have to pay a USE FEE,

the pools will not be free to use.

If you DO NOT VOTE, your vote will be counted as a vote of APPROVAL/YES.


AGM Measure 3 Park in Gate 5
Shall the sum of $75,000 be transferred from the Density Reduction Fund to a special capital account to be used for the development of a park in the Gate 5 area?

YES or NO

Passing Requirement: Approval by a simple majority of all votes cast, 50% + 1. Political Signs allowed in Sudden Valley from 9/21/2011 through 48 hours after the election. ACC guideline 15.7 - Display of Political Signs
