I had first started to write for myself in middle school. Writing had been an outlet for my problems and my emotions, a refuge where I can find solace and rest. I wrote as a means of expressing my innermost self. It is an intimate act that reveals who I am; who this person called David An is.

I am a voracious reader; I read whenever I have the time. And from my readings and the various experiences I get, I form my works of prose and poetry. During my free times, I think of concepts for my writing pieces. I also keep a binder filled with all the things that I write.

Although I started writing in middle school, I began to pursue it in earnest since High School. I joined the Hitchhikers Guide and was one of the founding members of Literary Society. I am in charge of the writing program.

I was born in Seoul, Korea, before I moved to Uzbekistan for four years. I have lived in America after that for another four years. I had also visited numerous other counties as well. These wide experiences contribute to who I am, and increase my horizon as a writer. I plan on attending an American college. Afterwards, I plan on writing, editing, and possibly running a small scale publishing company.
