    hrs SINGAPORE: Olam International is the only Singaporean firm in this year's Forbes Asia Fabulous 50, an annual list of 50 big-cap and profitable firms in the region. Only companies with revenues or market capitalization of at least US$3 billion, and a five-year record of operating profitability and return on equity, are included in the list. Other criteria include long-term profitability, sales and earnings growth, stock price appreciation, projected earnings, quality of management and entrepreneurial skills. 16 companies from mainland China make the cut this year, followed by India with 13 entries and Taiwan with all its five companies from the technology sector. Japan and Australia are tied at fourth place with four companies each. - CNA/sc
