The End of the Roman Empire. -The lifestyle of the Germanic tribes by the Roman Empire were semi-nomadic, limited agriculture, and raised herds. They told stories and practiced religion with many gods. The Germanic Invasions. -The roman government had trouble with coping with Germanic tribes because the tribes would invade at will across the frontier borders. The Eastern Empire Survives. -Constantine established a new Roman capital at Byzantium because he supported Christianity and thought the Roman Empire needed a new Christian capital. -Rome and Byzantium were similar because they were both built across seven hills, many of the buildings were like other Roman architecture, chariot racing track, -The bezant was the medieval term for the gold coin that contained 65 grains of pure gold , and it was important to the economy of Byzantium because trading was based on trading coins, bezant in particular. They were barbaric, brutal, murdering, raping, and destructive. -After the collapse of the western half of the Roman Empire, life in the city of Rome became difficult.
