TOFU STEAK IN SHREDDED CARAMELIZED FISH

For the Sauce Ingredients: 2 tbsps. cooking oil 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. flour cup chopped carrots tsp. salt and pepper 1 cup soup stock 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 1 tbsp. chopped shallots of garlic 1 tbsp. soy sauce cup red bell pepper, chopped 1 tsp. rice wine 1 tsp. sweet chili sauce 1 small fish

Saut vegetables in pan. Add seasonings and soup stock. Thicken sauce with flour dissolved in a little water. Let boil. Shred deep-fried or grilled fish in tiny fibers. Add shredded fish into the boiled sauce.

For the Tofu Steak Ingredients: pc. round tofu, cut into 5 or 6 slices 1 tsp. flour 1 egg, beaten cup breadcrumbs cooking oil 1 tsp. sesame oil 1 tsp. cilantro or spring onion, chopped

Slice tofu. Blanch in warm water. Pat-dry. Dredge tofu slices with flour, dip in beaten egg and roll in breadcrumbs. Deep-fry in hot oil. Add cooked tofu into the sauce. Top with a drizzling of sesame oil and chopped cilantro or spring onion.
