Research of Data Mining: Slit between Academic & Corporate People

Abstract
Data mining can make a significant contribution in various forms to corporate environment. Data mining is a hidden but to help find potential intelligence data and analysis of the search process. In many organizations unnecessary data create many problems to maintain consistency, out of those data it may happen we can get useful information for our business model. Data Mining is a useful technique to extract that knowledge so that the business model can be restructured in proper manner. But most of the academic research in data mining is conducted on mostly publicly available data because of non availability of internal data. The difficulty the academic people are facing to get access to large, new, and interesting sources of data. It is also very difficult to access the domain data as domain experts do not provide a practical perceptive of existing problems and also not providing the new research problems. At the same time the corporate researchers does not have the conceptual idea to go through with the new development of data mining as a result the practical development remains at a particular position for ling time, which does not help their industry growth in perfect manner. In this paper we will try discuss the reasons and environments for which the gap exists and also try to find out the possible solutions by which the gap can be minimized.
