William Rodriguez is the janitor that insists he was a hero who worked at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. He claims he is a hero because he had the only passkey to offices from the stairwell doors in tower 1. He claims he let firemen inside those doors so that they could rescue people. His story has always been that he obtained this "masterkey" through an arbitration agreement between himself and the port authority, instead of a lawsuit for a fall he took in the stairwells, and could not get help because he didn't have a key. I sent a FOI request to verify his claims and was not able to: Re: Freedom of Information Reference No. 12248 Dear Ms. Judd, This is in response to your April 3, 2011 request, which has been processed under the Port Authority's Freedom of Information Policy, for a copy of the arbitration settlement agreement related to William Rodriguez v. Port Authority from 1996-97. Please be advised that we have searched our files and found no documents responsive to the request. Please refer to the above FOI reference number in any future correspondence relating to your request. Sincerely, Daniel D.
