How Should We Then Die? - This was the question raised in our first ever CMDA Atlanta Bioethics Conference, co-sponsored with Luther Rice Seminary. During our conference, which 20 people attended, our presenters talked and facilitated discussions around the issue of end of life care and decisions. Dr. Bob Orr, author of Medical Ethics and the Faith Factor, was our plenary speaker, accompanied by presenters Dr. Priscilla Strom, Dr. Robyn Mowery, Dr. Scott Henderson. CMDA Atlanta was very excited to be able to provide this conference to our community, because one of the essential goals of CMDA here in Atlanta is to resource and equip the church and medical community to better understand and think biblically about the bioethical issues within medicine and our culture. About 20 people attended from throughout Atlanta to hear our presenters and have a chance to discuss the issues of end of life care and its ethical considerations.
