The Desaru Resort is a tourist attraction 1and a great destination2 for a family vacation3.

Tourists visit this resort4 throughout the year. However, the number of tourists visiting this place each month varies. 7,500 tourists visited Desaru Resort in June, which recorded the highest number for this year. This could be due to the fact that the mid-term school holidays fall in June. Families can enjoy such activities as swimming, snorkelling5, surfing6 and sailing. In January, 1,000 people visited this resort and in the following month, 2,500 did so. There was a marked7 increased in the number of tourists in March which saw 5,500 tourists visiting the resort. April, May and July saw equal numbers of 6,500 tourists each. In fact, after June, the number of tourists visiting Desaru started decreasing. There was a big decrease from July to August. August only saw 4,000 tourists compared to 6,500 in July. There was a further decrease8 in September with only 2,000 tourists visiting the resort. October and November saw 1,000 tourists each visiting the resort. December recorded the lowest number of only 500 tourists. From July onwards, there was a decrease in the number of tourists because students sit for various examinations such as UPSR, PMR and SPM exams at the end of the year. Further, November and December are usually rainy months and so tourists are unable to enjoy the activities on the beach.
