B. KREEM TANK PREP


Kreem Tank-Prep is a unique two-part system to prepare metal fuel tanks before coating with Kreem Fuel Tank Liner. Used as directed, Tank-Prep will remove rust and etch the metal surface to ensure maximum adhesion of Kreem Tank Liner. Because permanent adhesion of Kreem Tank Liner is possible only on a clean oil-free surface, Kreem Corp. offers a special two-part tank preparation kit. Tank-Prep A is a concentrated cleaner which dissolves rust and etches the metal surface. The concentrate is diluted 20:1 with water (a pint container makes 2-12 gallons of cleaner) and used to treat the tank interior for a minimum of four hours. When treatment is complete, inspection will reveal that loose rust has been removed and that the tank surface has been etched to promote adhesion of the lining. Kreem produces a tank within a tank. It is supplied as a liquid, but quickly cures to a tough, white elastomer compound. In a new or old fuel tank, a Kreem lining will seal and protect the tank, prevent rust and corrosion, stop leaks from pinholes and hairline cracks, and protect fuel from contamination. The newly-advanced Kreem formula offers better adhesion, faster set-up and a smoother finish. Jims case lap is the first of its kind. It is guided on both sides of the pinion bearing. This additional support on the cam gear side of the bearing race is achieved by means of a bolt on the base plate that precisely locates a drill bushing in which the lap turns. This base plate is located on the same engine case pins as the cam cover. The positioning of this drill bushing is held within .0002 of an inch to the engine case pins or within .0002 of case centerline. Now instead of guiding only from the left side with Timken bearings, which are a floating fit, Jims case lap uses a special ground bearing sleeve to hold left side of lapping shaft without movement. Both ends of the lap are supported in precisely the same centerline as the flywheel assembly. With this extremely rigid arrangement, it is possible to power the lap with a low speed drill motor without fear of chatter in the lapped race. If a drill motor is not available, Jims lap can be powered by the conventional hand crank.
