Any Reading Comprehension passage has four possible components:


(1) The Point : - the Point is the crux of the simple story. - can be : Resolution, Answer, New Idea, Reason - the Point is related to a passage's purpose, which conveys the said point - The Point of a passage is in fact analogous to the conclusion of an argument. (2) Background : The context and the basic facts about the topic (3) Support NB: A sentence can provide background information and support the Point at the same time. (4) Implications

12GENERALQ's: If you are stuck between two answer choices, use a SCORING SYSTEM to assign a st value to each one: 2pts for the 1 paragraph & 1pt for the others

SPECIFIC Q's: Identify the KEYWORDS in the question. Then, go back to the passage and find those key word: do so BEFORE starting going through the answer choices 3- SPECIFIC Q's: Find one or two PROOF SENTENCES to defend the correct answer choice.
4567ALL: JUSTIY every word in the answer choice. ALL : AVOID extreme words if possible. ALL : INFER as LITTLE as possible.
