The Region

Celebrating in 2008 its 100th Anniversary, the Do region is one of the most historical regions in Portugal. For several decades it produces large quantities of wine for the cooperatives. After the renewal process of the 1980s a new group of producers gave a new market image to the wines. Nowadays these producers lead the region, with a very good level of wines for all price ranges.

Production Technology

Fermentation in stainless steel vats for 10 days at a temperature of 26-28C. Post- fermentation maceration and malolatic fermentation of 50% in stainless steel and 50% in oak abrrels. Ageing in new oak barrels and at least 6 months in the bottle.

Grape Varieties Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Tinto Co Alcohol 14,5%

Tasting Notes

Staging 12 months in french oak barrels.

Fine and elegant, with beautiful mineral and floral notes in the aroma. Concentrated food, firm and round tannins from the oak.Outstanding aftertaste, with elegance and class.
