8. Read the following passage and answer the questions given below:This universe is a very strange kind of place. The empty spaces in the universe are immeasurable. The distance from our sun to the nearest star is 4.2 light years. This is in spite of the fact that we live in a very crowded part of the universe, namely Milky Way which is a collection of about 300,000 million stars. About 30 million similar collections are known to exist in the universe.

Write the summary of the following passage reducing it to about one-third of the original length:The word victory is generally associated in our mind with war and calls up vision of battles, bloodshed and conquest by force, and we think of war as a glorious thing because of its famous victories and splendid triumphs. But when we think of the achievements of great man ----- statesmen, scholars, social reformers, scientists, explorers, discoverers, and honest workers for the betterment of the human race and the progress of civilization of the world, we realize that the victories of peace are even more glorious than the victories of war.
