Project Guideline Choose a topic that interests your group (and your classmates). The statistical tool to be used is mainly two-sample tests (see chapter 10). Below are some questions asked before: Is there any systematic retail price difference between Park-n-Shop and TASTE? Investigation of LOVE Sleep deprivation in CUHK Regional and subject difference in private tuition fees

Proposal A one-page proposal is due by Nov 11 (F). You shall list your topic and outline the methodology (including data description) you are going to use. Data collecting (primary or secondary data is equally okay) usually takes some time. You might want to allocate enough time by starting earlier. Written Report: Length: Around 10 pages (1.5 spacing at least) excluding appendix. Diagrams + tables are good ways to summarize your results. Remember to put down page number on every page. Suggested Format: o o o o o o o A (well-designed) Cover Page (with project title & members names) Table of Contents Introduction & Motivation (research question) Data & Methodology (survey errors, ch 7; two-sample tests, ch 10) Analysis & Results Conclusion & Limitations Reference & Appendix (e.g. questionnaires)

Project grade: Your team members will receive the same grade (that depends on the proposal, presentation and report) unless the peer evaluation suggests otherwise.
