Sundarshan Electronics Ltd., Coimbatore has been a leading player in the colored TV industry
and occupied No 2 position in India in terms oI its sales turnover during the last several years.
This enterprise is headed by the second generation ambitious members oI the promoter Iamily
hailing Irom a prosperous village in Kerala. Starting a regional player, they had spread their
marketing network across the country and have now acquired a large TV manuIacturing base in
several metropolitan cities oI the country. However during the last three years, a number oI
international players like Sony, AIWA, Akai, LG, Samsung, Thomson, have entered the market
without any signiIicant resistance and the consumers have beneIited greatly because oI Ialling
prices oI TV or better value Ior their money.
