Introduction to Lit Circles

Starring: Myself Script: Hi Boys and GIrls! Today I want to share a great cooperative learning strategy that can really help you understand and ENJOY literature. Literature Circles are a great way for you to learn together with your classmates. First, you will need a book that everyone in the gorup has read, or is currently reading. Next, Your teacher will assign each person in your group a job. Then, as a group, each person will do their job by sharing with the group. Remember, every job is important to make a literature circle successful! To demonstrate the different jobs, lets meet some of the 3rd graders at McBean Elementary

Starring: Myself Script: Our Discussion Director has done an excellent job of asking open ended questions! What are open ended questions, you might ask. Well, simply put, open ended questions cannot be answered with a simple yes or no! They must be answered in sentences. Remember to always be courteous to each other and take turns taking center stage. Many of these types of questions have many different answers! You never know that you will from a classmate! Now, lets check out what our Illustrator can add to the discussion.
