Description:

Online Library system is designed for a much easier and more convenient way of renting or borrowing books from the schools library. For example, a student will borrow books from the library. The student should secure first an account on the proposed library system. The student will fill up information about him/her: student number, first and last name, course, year, contact number, email address and etc. After that, the student is now a member of the proposed system and may now borrow books. The member can check the availability of the book he/she wants to borrow online. The information of the book: serial number, book title, book author, dates borrowed, date returned, name of the lender, and quantity of the books available in the library. If the member already borrowed the book, the librarian will now record on the site that this book is now with or borrowed by this member and the system will now add the book information on the account of the lender. And upon returning of the book, the librarian will now notify the system that the book is now returned and will be removed on the account of the last borrower. The purposes of the study are to create a more organize and systematic way of renting or borrowing books; and also a less hassle process for both the librarian and the student. The objectives of the study are the following: To track down easily the renting history or the current borrower of the book. To minimize the lost of books. To manage the books easily. To make the process more convenient And to lessen personnel errors along the process.
