Creativity across the Curriculum: An introduction to digital skills

Tuesday 6th December 2011 9:30am - 15:30pm With Julian Coultas (ADE) An introduction to Mac navigation, creating and labelling folders, and use the Internet to research. The use of mobile devices in the classroom and some free tools for publishing are also included. Perfect for beginners and intermediate learners. The day will also include Making Music (14:00-15:30). Become a musician and producer with GarageBand.

Podcasting
Monday 16th January 2012 16:00pm - 17:15pm Learn how to create a radio interview on any subject within your curriculum.

Using Digital images

Monday 6th February 2012 16:00pm - 17:15pm Embracing digital cameras within your lessons neednt be a hassle. With iPhoto you can upload, edit, store and publish your photographs.

Encouraging Writing
Monday 27th February 2012 16:00pm - 17:15pm Make English come alive by creating a comic!

Making Movies
Monday 19th March 2012 16:00pm - 17:15pm Capture and edit movies during this hands-on session.

Stop-motion Animation
Monday 23rd April 2012 16:00pm - 17:15pm Learn how to use animation in Humanities and English to depict events and stories.

Using iDVD as a presentation tool

Monday 14th May 2012 16:00pm - 17:15pm Making the presentation of your digital media look professional.

Show and Tell

Monday 11th June 2012 16:00pm - 17:15pm Bring along your creations and celebrate your creativity using technology.

All sessions will be held at Silverstone Study Centre, Silverstone Circuit, Northamptonshire, NN12 8TN. On approach to the circuit, enter via Gate 3 West. Immediately beyond the security gate turn right and you will see the Study Centre situated next to the Visitor Centre. There is plenty of free parking available.
