Councilors Question Four Hundred and Eleven Billion Rupiahs for Marunda The executive of DKI Jakarta attempt

to realize again the glory of Jakarta as a city port in the past. They have a plan. They will to make the seashore in KBN (Kawasan Berikat Nasional), Marunda, North Jakarta, become an international port. They will shell out four hundred and eleven billion rupiahs to buy more stake there in the two thousand and nine budget plan. But, that plan is refused by the councilors, such as factions of the Democratic Party, the United Development Party (PPP), the National Mandate Part (PAN), and Golkar Party. The councilors think that investment in KBN is one hundred billion rupiahs enough. Then, the executive reduce the investment become two hundred billion rupiahs, and in the last time, it reduced again until one hundred and fifty billion rupiahs. But, the councilors still consequent on one hundred billion rupiahs. They think that investment there will not operated immediately. Furthermore, it is will not prohibitable in the short time. Traffic jam to go to KBN will not attract ones attention of investor. The facility and access to that place must be repaired before in orter so that business in KBN interests the investor. I think, a huge amount og funds will be better allocated to programs that corrrespond with public needs, such as flood mitigation or the prevention of dengue fever that is likely to happen during the rainy season.
