NikiBoy Reyes urged to go for Congress

Barangay officials in the 2nd district of Pangasinan are urging provincial Board Member NikiBoy Reyes to be their next congressman. With reports that incumbent representative Victor Agbayani may run anew governor, the local officials have expressed their preference for NikiBoy Reyes to be their next congressman. NikiBoy Reyes is extremely approachable and capable leader, says a barangay chairman from Urbiztondo, and we have found him responsive to the needs of our community during his three terms as provincial board member. Other barangay leaders from Binmaley, Lingayen, Labrador, Bugallon, Aguilar, Mangatarem and Basista have expressed their desire for Reyes to go for congress. It's a party decision, says Reyes on who the next candidate for congress will be for the 2nd district. But I welcome the challenge should I be nominated to be the candidate. Prior to his election as a member of the provincial legislative board, NikiBoy Reyes, was a three-term councilor of Lingayen and also served as municipal administrator. As a councilor, he campaigned as an independent and won overwhelmingly, becoming the topnotcher in one election. He was also a three-term awardee as an Outstanding Councilor of Lingayen. At the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, he is the only Board Member with perfect attendance in all the sessions since he was elected in 2001. He was also awarded for his public service program on radio, Operation Tulong, where he coordinated medical assistance services for hundreds of indigent persons in Pangasinan. With his record of public service, NikiBoy Reyes could very well serve the residents of the 2nd district as congressman in 2010. #
