People should be awarded according to ability, not according to age and experience Most of the people in high positioned

jobs still believe that the rewards for their work have to be given according to age and not to ability. These people fail to realize that the world has changed and a new method of rewarding your employees should be established. Firstly, the young want to be better rewarded because they think they deserve it, and it partially true because they are, in some cases, better prepared for the job than other so called aged and experienced ones. So I find it normal for them to want to get better pay, because they want to enjoy their life while they are still young. Secondly, when a youngster joins a company, he is situated at the bottom of the hierarchy. Also in many companies it does not really matter what you know, but who you know. This is a widespread practice in former communist countries. The rewards do not come until you have gone up this hierarchy and this happens after twenty years or so. Thirdly, society nowadays provides a better education than it used to do, but it withholds all the important jobs that the young are supposed to or qualified to occupy. Society does whatever it takes to exclude them from the jobs that really matter. That there are exceptions, no one can deny, but we are speaking about the vast majority. On the other hand, it can be easily observed that in a big society, people are not rated and rewarded by their age, nor their ability. There are a lot of factors that go into the process of properly rating an individual and deciding what rewards should be given to him. And, in addition to that, it is a fact that big companies could not function properly without hierarchy and that they are quick to spot and develop the ability of certain peoples. In conclusion, I would like to state that improvements can be made to loosen the tension between those in high positioned jobs and the young who have just finished a university. A balance has to be reached in order to benefit both parties.
