Abbreviations: SC - Scheduled Caste, ST - Scheduled Tribe, OBC - Other Backward Classes, PWD - Persons with Disability, LV Low Vision, HH - Hearing Handicapped, OH Orthopaedically Handicapped, UR - Unreserved. Note- 1) The total number of vacancies and reservation is provisional and may vary according to the actual requirement of the Company. 2) The designations/ names of the posts are only indicative. 3) As the reservation for PWD is on horizontal basis, the selected candidates will be placed in the appropriate category to which they belong. 4) The definitions of the categories of disabilities shall be as per Govt. of India guidelines. 5) The minimum degree of disability for a person to be eligible for applying against the said vacancies is 40%. II. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: (a) For the post notified at Sl. No. 1 to 7, the candidates should possess NAC/NCTVT Certificate in the concerned trade. (b) For the post notified at Sl. No. 8 to 10, the candidates should possess Diploma in the concerned trade from the State Board of Technical Education. (c) For the post notified at Sl. No. 11, the candidate should possess PUC/ Inter alongwith Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy (B Pharma). (d) For the post notified at Sl. No. 12, the candidate should possess regular Degrees of M.A./ M. Sc./M. Com. from a recognized University under the 10+2+3+2 system alongwith Computer proficiency certificate of minimum one year from reputed institutes. Note: Candidates must possess the qualification prescribed for the concerned post as on 01.12.2011. Appearing candidates or the candidates whose result is awaited are NOT eligible to apply. III. AGE: For the posts mentioned at Sl No.1 to 12 above, 18- 28 years (as on 01.12.2011). (a) Relaxation in upper age limit to various categories:

(b) On the basis of experience: Upto seven years of relaxation in the upper age limit will be given to candidates having relevant and bonafide experience. However, this relaxation will be proportional to the experience possessed. For example, person having one year of relevant and bonafide experience will be given one year of relaxation in age. (c) Relaxation in age to the ex- apprentices: One year of relaxation in the upper age limit will be extended to the candidates who have completed one year of apprenticeship training at HAL- TAD, Kanpur. IV. EMOLUMENTS: During the training period, emoluments payable to the candidates selected against the posts of Technician Trainees (C5) & Diploma Trainees (D6) would consist of the following components: (a) Minimum Basic Pay in the 2007 Pay Scales in which they are inducted; (b) Dearness Allowance on the minimum Basic Pay at (a) above, as per the system applicable in respect of regular Workmen, which is revised on a quarterly basis; (c) Accommodation Allowance at the rate of HRA payable to Workmen in the respective Station, computed on the minimum Basic Pay as at (a) above. Accommodation Allowance will be payable only in cases where Company Accommodation/ Hostel is not provided; (d) Payment of Canteen Allowance/ Issuance of Meal Vouchers to the Trainees will be done @ Rs 2500/- p.m. V. ABSORPTION: The selected candidates will be on training for a period of one year. On successful completion of the aforesaid training, the trainees will be absorbed in the regular scales as mentioned below: Scale Pay Scale (Rs.) C5 8750 3% 25670/D6 9250 3% 27170/VI. SELECTION PROCEDURE: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for written test. The list of such candidates will be hosted on HAL website, www.hal-india.com . The candidates will have to download their admit cards from the website. On qualifying in the written test, the candidates who are shortlisted will be interviewed for final selection. NAC/NCTVT candidates (for post indicated at Sl No.1 to 7), who qualify in the written test & are shortlisted for the next stage will have to appear for trade test /practical test. On qualifying in the trade test/practical test, the candidates who are shortlisted will be interviewed for final selection. The list of candidates shortlisted for trade test/ practical test (if applicable) and interview will be hosted on the website and the candidates will be required to download the call letters for trade test/ practical test (if applicable) and interview from the website. VII. APPLICATION FEE: The application should be accompanied by a crossed Demand Draft of Rs. 100/- issued by any nationalized Bank which is non-refundable {exempted in the case of SC/ST/PWD candidates, candidates registered with the Employment Exchange (Kanpur Nagar &

Kanpur Dehat only), provided their names are sponsored by the Employment Exchange, and Ex-Apprentices of HAL-TAD Kanpur} drawn in favour of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Transport Aircraft Division, Kanpur payable at Kanpur. Any other mode of application fee will not be accepted. The Demand Draft should not have been issued prior to 01.12.2011 and should be valid for a period of six months from the date of issuance. VIII. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: (i) Only Indian nationals need to apply. (ii) Though the posts advertised are for Transport Aircraft Division, Kanpur, however, the candidates selected against these posts will be liable to serve in any part of India or abroad, in any position, department or shift as may be assigned to them from time to time at the discretion of the Management. (iii) Number of vacancies may vary as per discretion of the Management. (iv) Ex- apprentices of HAL-TAD, Kanpur must apply directly against the advertised posts. (v) Mere submission of application will not entail right for claiming appointment. Decision of Management regarding selection will be final. Further, the Management reserves the right to fill up or otherwise any or all of the notified posts. (vi) Mere conformity to the job requirements will not entitle the candidate to be called for written test, practical test &/ or interview. The Management would be free to reject any application at any stage of the Recruitment Process, if the candidate is found ineligible for the post for which he/ she has applied. The decision of the Management regarding the eligibility of the candidate, the stage at which scrutiny of eligibility has to be undertaken, qualification and other eligibility norms, the documents to be produced for the purpose of selection etc. and any other matter relating to the recruitment process will be final and binding on the candidate. If any shortcoming(s) is/ are detected even after appointment, the candidates services are liable to be terminated. (vii) Appearance of the shortlisted candidates in the written test does not entitle them for any claim for the post they have applied for. They will be treated as debarred ab-initio at any stage of the recruitment process incase they do not fulfill essential eligibility criteria. (viii) Management reserves the right to raise or lower the specifications, depending upon the response to the advertised posts. (ix) Management reserves the right to reschedule/cancel/suspend/terminate the recruitment process without assigning any reason and alter the terms and conditions at any time during the process due to any exigency. The decision of the Management will be final and no appeal will be entertained. (x) Age and Experience are to be counted as on 01.12.2011. (xi) Before applying the candidates should satisfy themselves regarding eligibility criteria desired for the post(s). (xii) Only shortlisted candidates will be called for written test, practical test and/or interview and as such, no correspondence shall be made in case of rejections etc.

(xiii) Candidates will be required to produce original certificates regarding educational qualification, caste, work experience, disability etc. at the time of Interview, failing which their candidature will be cancelled. The Competent Authority for issue of Caste and Disability Certificate has been defined at Point no. IX. (xiv) CGPA, FCPI, etc., wherever applicable, should compulsorily be converted into percentage of marks as per the University / Institution norms. Candidates will have to produce document(s) evidencing conversion formula of University / Institution, if called for interview. (xv) Candidates who wish to apply must have necessarily completed the essential educational qualification as prescribed for the posts mentioned in the advertisement. Candidates appearing for the examination for acquiring essential/ qualifying qualification and those whose result has not been declared must not apply. (xvi) Persons possessing higher qualification than that specified for the advertised posts need not apply. If at any stage the same is discovered, his/her candidature will be cancelled without any notice. (xvii) Work experience for the purpose of relaxation in age will be reckoned only after acquiring essential/ qualifying qualification. (xviii) Candidates employed in Govt., Quasi Govt. and Public Sector Organizations should apply through proper channel and bring No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of interview, failing which, they will not be permitted to appear for the interview. (xix) Forms not accompanying the Demand Draft towards application fee (if applicable), will be rejected and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained. (xx) Candidates are advised to apply against one post only. (xxi) Candidates are advised in their own interest that they should not furnish any particulars that are false, tampered or fabricated or should not suppress any material information while filling up their application forms. (xxii) Applications received after last date will not be entertained. (xxiii) The Company takes no responsibility for any delay in receipt or loss in postal transit of any communication. (xxiv) Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification of candidature. (xxv) No candidate is permitted to use calculators, mobile phones, pagers or any other undesired material/ instrument in the examination hall. (xxvi) No Travelling Allowance will be paid to the candidates for attending written test & practical test. However, candidates who are called for interview will be paid Travelling Allowance, on production of proof of travel, as per the rules of the Company. (xxvii) Appointment of the selected candidates will be subject to receipt of satisfactory medical report from the Company Doctor (Company Doctor and Medical Board attached to the Special Employment Exchange in respect of the Physically Handicapped) etc. and satisfactory report on Character and Antecedents from the concerned authorities as per rules.

The certificate issued should clearly indicate whether the disability is Temporary or Permanent. X.
