Rotary Club of Crawley Education Scholarship Fund

INFORMATION SHEET

Introduction
With the generous support of the Bendat Family Foundation, The Rotary Club of Crawley (RCC) is pleased to offer a Scholarship Award, estimated to be in the region of $8,000 to $10,000, to one successful applicant every year, to assist young people with the cost of their chosen course of study or training.

Application Criteria
Applications will be invited from participants in the RCC Youth Scholarship Group and others under the age of 30 at the time of applying. The panel will favour those who Fulfil their current commitments of the Youth Scholarship program, or for those not participating, to attend a minimum of no less than 50% attendance at breakfast meetings, Attend the Leadership Development Training, Assist in running and administering The Rotary Club of Crawley and its activities, Volunteer for specific RCC projects, and Present a compelling case for the value of their proposed advanced education course of study or training.

The Selection Committee will be seeking a clear view of the aims and objectives of the student in attending their future course of study and the expected outcome for the student. Those applicants who can

demonstrate a high probability that the benefits of completing their course will enable the student to contribute to the local and, ideally, the global community in a meaningful way, in the future, will be favoured.

Expectations
The successful applicant will be expected to complete their chosen course of study to the best of their ability. Participants in the Youth Scholarship Program, while current, must continue to meet their commitments for the duration of the Award period. In addition, we hope and encourage the recipient to continue to bring their passions and talents to The Rotary Club of Crawley and the wider community.

Timeline For A Course of Study to Commence after January 1st, 2013
